Revolut's Fee Structure
Starting from 25. Oct 2022, Revolut has introduced new Top-Up Fees (1.15% - 1.5%) for Cards issued in Switzerland. Learn here how to keep using Revoult for free.
Revolut explains their recent decision as follows:
“Since Switzerland is not part of the EEA, top-ups made with Swiss-issued cards are classed as international transactions. So, in order to continue supporting these cards we need to charge a small fee to cover the cost of processing an international payment.”
How to avoid paying Top-Up Fees?
The important part of the announcement is Cards issued in Switzerland. There are various swiss banks, which offer you free Credit Cards which are NOT issued in Switzerland.
Option 1: Neon
Neon is a Switzerland based Mobile Banking solution. They offer very attractive Debit Cards which are issued in the United States of America, so you won't need to pay additional fees for topping up your Revolut Card.
